Bridging the Nature-disconnect

Reconnecting with oneself by reconnecting with nature in natural landscapes and ecosystems far from the bustle of city life

Become an explorer again

Forests swaying in the wind, streams flowing over rocks, birds flapping away as we walk by – these are experiences that are as exhilarating as they are humbling. Our urban landscapes have deprived us of these moments that teach us we are part of something far greater than the sum total of humans on earth. The rituals and lives of rural communities are built around these natural landscapes and by revisiting them, we give ourselves the gift of seeing our world with different eyes.

Worldview’s Environment Conservation programs are journeys into the rural wilds where local fauna and human communities have coexisted for centuries. Through these programs we help participants examine the role of nature in their lives through nature immersions, outdoor living and learning experiences and countryside explorations.

“I learnt a lot about myself through the course of the program (Nature Turks). Being here makes us so much more conscious of our natural resources than we are at home”.

The program was a new experience in which we were introduced to the culture of the place. We learnt a lot and had loads of fun at the same time

“I was pleasantly surprised to see the students immersed in so many different activities during the program. Students with an urban upbringing do not get to see nature up close so often and this was a great opportunity for them: to appreciate nature, live in the outdoors, revisit forgotten games and traditions, try out adventure activities and understand their importance”.
